Dr. Amanda M. Tinkle
Dr. Amanda M. Tinkle was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. A native of Corvallis, Oregon, she grew up chasing insects out of the garden, traipsing though the surrounding forests, and camping at the coast.
Dr. Amanda, as she is known by her patients, attended the Honors College at Oregon State University where she met her future husband, Aaron, and graduated summa cum laude with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in German. Intending to become a teacher, she explored graduate programs in education before deciding to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Amanda moved to Portland, Oregon, where her husband was attending the School of Dentistry at OHSU. After extensive exploration and shadowing, Dr. Amanda decided to also pursue a doctorate in dentistry. She attended Portland State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Science, summa cum laude.
As soon as her husband graduated from dental school, Dr. Amanda started her program at OHSU’s School of Dentistry. While in school, Dr. Amanda received multiple awards for service, scholarship and clinical skills. She also gave birth during this time to her first child, Isaac.
Dr. Amanda worked in several offices before coming to West Vancouver Dental. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American, Washington, and Clark County Dental Associations, and the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity.
When away from the office, she loves to spend time with her family—which now includes her daughter, Arden—travel, and partake in the culinary delights of the metro area. Dr. Amanda enjoys seeing patients of all ages and is excited to be a part of the Vancouver community.
